Journalist – Adevărul
Florin Ghioca is one of the few journalists in Romania that specialises in text, images and video. He has worked with some of the most important publications in the country, such as Evenimentul Zilei, Cotidianul, Național and Adevărul, and works across both radio and television. He is also a correspondent for French photo agencies Hachette and Gamma Presse, as well as for Romanian television stations Realitatea TV, Kanal D and Prima TV.
In addition, Florin is a conflict/war correspondent photographer, and was the only Romanian photojournalist to cover the Afghanistan War. He has also inaugurated several conflict photography exhibitions featuring images from Palestinian territories and Afghanistan. His photographs have been exhibited in Romania and in London, and can be found in most Romanian publications, as well as in newspapers and magazines in England, France, Afghanistan, Greece, Finland and Poland. Florin has been invited by National Geographic Channel to contribute to their Great Migrations – Kenya project.
More recently, Florin has shifted his focus towards live theatre and concert photography, and is currently the official photographer for the I.L. Caragiale National Theatre in Bucharest, and has been the official photographer at many important concerts and festivals since 2014. As a photojournalist he has covered a diverse group of events from Electric Castle Festival to Berlinale (Berlin International Film Festival), and from JazzTM Festival to TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival), and has participated in leading music and film festivals throughout Romania and Europe.
Florin has written many features relating to cultural events and has conducted hundreds of interviews for Adevărul Live with leading music and film personalities from Romania and abroad.
