Andreea Ciortea is a cultural manager, trainer, entrepreneur, and practitioner in the creative industries, with over 20 years of experience in the development, production, and coordination of cultural and educational projects. She has conceived, implemented, or overseen over 200 projects, working in institutional, independent, and international contexts.
Between 2017 and 2019, she served as executive producer of EEMC – East European Music Conference and Showcase Festival, contributing to the development of a regional space for professional dialogue dedicated to the music industry, cultural management, and the creative industries. She has been collaborating with ARTmania since its first edition in 2006 and has experience in producing large-scale festivals, conferences, and cultural projects.
Her career includes involvement in the Sibiu – European Capital of Culture 2007 programme, the role of executive director of the Baia Mare 2021 Foundation, as well as her work as an adjunct lecturer at the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu. At the same time, she has developed independent projects at the intersection of heritage, design, cultural education, and creative entrepreneurship, such as Ia Sibiu and No’HAI Design. In 2014, she opened an independent space dedicated to the cultural and creative industries at Piața Mică 3, which is now home to the OMIE Association.
