Cristina Uruc (RO)

Cristina Uruc started her career in the field of concert and cultural event organization in 2007 at ARTEXIM, where she gained extensive experience across all stages of production and coordination of one of the world’s most important classical music festivals. She served as General Project Manager of the International New Music Week Festival and worked as tour manager for renowned early music ensembles such as Il Giardino Armonico and Coro e Orchestra Ghislieri. From April 2021 until her appointment as director and subsequently interim manager of ARTEXIM, she was the artistic consultant of the Sibiu State Philharmonic.

She studied composition at the National University of Music in Bucharest under the guidance of composer Livia Teodorescu-Ciocănea (bachelor’s and master’s degrees), and in 2019 she obtained the title of Doctor of Music from the same institution.

Since 2025, Cristina Uruc has been the President of the European Association of Artist Managers and  associate lecturer at the National University of Music in Bucharest, as well as at the Faculty of Arts – Music, Ovidius University of Constanța.
