Mihai Grecea has over 20 years of experience across music production, filmmaking, and the advertising industry.
He began his career in the early 1990s as a guitarist in the rock bands Totem and Post Mortem, winning several awards at national festivals. During this time, he was also involved in the Rock Aid Association, contributing to the development of an early independent analog recording initiative in Bacău.
After working in advertising as a copywriter, creative director, and audio-video producer, he went on to found the production company Easyfilm. He directed and produced numerous commercials, corporate films, music videos, and two feature-length documentary films: Birdman (an HBO Europe production) and The Sounds of Bucharest.
Since 2012, he has been actively involved in music production, collaborating with Traian 150 Studio in Bucharest.
On October 30, 2015, while coordinating the filming of a concert by his friends from the Goodbye to Gravity, he was severely injured in the Colectiv nightclub fire. He survived after a long and difficult recovery following prolonged hospitalization.
He later contributed to the documentary Collective, nominated for two Academy Awards in 2021 and widely recognized internationally.
In the years that followed, he carried forward the legacy of Traian 150 Studio, which ceased its activity after the tragedy, and founded El Studió in Bucharest, where he continues to work as a producer, recording and mixing engineer.
