Marcel Bostan (MD)

Marcel Bostan is the vocalist, keyboard player, and one of the founding members of Alternosfera, one of the most influential and acclaimed alternative rock bands in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Active since 1998, Marcel Bostan has played a defining role in shaping the band’s artistic identity through a distinctive lyrical style marked by emotional intensity and deep introspection.

Under his artistic direction, Alternosfera has released seven albums and one EP, building a unique sonic universe at the intersection of alternative rock, post-grunge, and progressive influences. Albums such as “Virgula,” “Haosoleum,” “Arhitectul din Babel,” and “Steaguri fără culori” have established the band as a major reference point within the Eastern European alternative music scene.

Recognized for his powerful stage presence and authentic artistic voice, Marcel Bostan remains one of the most important figures in contemporary alternative rock in the region.
