Ovidiu-Florian Andriș (RO)
Vice President – Association of Philharmonic and Opera Managers in Romania
Ovidiu-Florian Andriș has built his career at the intersection of performance and management, bringing the discipline of an orchestral musician into the leadership of public cultural institutions. Since 2021, he is is serving as General Manager of Filarmonica Banatul Timișoara, and is Vice President of the Association of Philharmonic and Opera Managers in Romania, the professional body representing the country's classical music institutions. Between 2016 and 2020, he was an event producer for Timișoara 2023 - European Capital of Culture, contributing to one of the most ambitious cultural programmes ever delivered in the region. He trained as a percussionist at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg, graduating summa cum laude, and went on to perform with the Hamburg State Philharmonic Orchestra before returning to Romania. He holds a Master's Degree in Arts and Cultural Management from Rome Business School and is Associate Professor at the West University of Timișoara.
